creative fraternizing

The last few days have been busy busy busy.... While I've been take leave from work, I had been attending events that (through some divine intervention) are happening over the same weekend. First it was the NUS City Exhbition that opened on Thursday evening and in which I was involved in as a TAS member. It was followed in the following evening by the exhibition of the works of the Shanghai studio at the Singapore Institute of Architects.

And on the next day, I attended yet another event at the National Library, the forum organized by re:act, as part of the exhibition, Let's TAP (Let's Talk About Places).

And right after the forum, Hann, Weihui and I rushed down to the Golden Mile Complex to attend Rojak, a mutlti-disciplinary sharing session involving people from different sectors of the creative profession. A better mix of people at this event compared to the last few which I went to, which were more about architects fraternizing than about the subject of the exhibitons them selves.

On the whole, I am quite happy to see so much buzz happening within the creative field. A whole string of bottom-initiated events that were virtually unheard of a few years back.
