i think the logo rip off is intentional, and meant to be ironic, or even a critique of the urban planning of Pyongyang, which was basically a cut-and-paste job,an incoherent patchwork of great architectural moments from the past.

And as to whether, Singapore has a high utopian vision.... I think Singapore has always been thinking big, but always ends up watering down this ambition and be self content with mediocrity. (ok! I still can't get over the fact that Genting won the Sentosa IR bid. Talk about iconic!) Perhaps the Ryugyong Hotel is something that Singapore could learn from, think big and do big, take a gamble.

ya kinda sad genting won. put a universal studios theme park in there by the time it is completed that theme park can qualify as a museum recreation liaoz. the architecture is appropriate for that as well. SO YESTERYEAR! family fun? WALAU WHAT KIND OF DYSFUNCTIONAL SINGAPOREAN FAMILY IS THAT!? bourgeoisie imagined fun.
