Yan Kit Swimming Pool

A forgotten piece of Singapore, wedged at the periphery of the CBD. The half century old Yan Kit Swimming pool from the pre-independence days.

I have not heard of any plans to redevelop the pool, although I think it is extremely unlikely that it will revert to its former function. I actually prefer that nothing be done to the pool and let it be left there unused becoming some sort of historical artefact on display in an open air "city museum". Perhaps a Skansen Museet or Kulturen of sorts. I'll be designing a kindergarten across the street for this semester and the pool could become an important element in my scheme.
